Thanks Liliane for this opportunity to network before I come =)
(Aug 31st thru Sept 7th). I'm still looking for a nice beachfront hotel (not too many kids) that is near town and music clubs. Water sports would be a plus (windsurfing & outrigger paddling). I also want to visit the Angel Notion clinic while I'm there to donate some medical supplies, do you know any of the people that run the clinic? Warm regards, Robin
My wife and I plan on making the trip after I return from Iraq. Im not sure exactly where to stay? We are wanting something on the beach, all inclusive, somewhat quiet, close to shopping and restuarants..kids are okay too. What do you suggest for first time playa del carmen visitors?? Thanks Jimmy:)
We are very excited about this website! We coming down in November and were considering the Azul Fives. Do you know how the reviews of this hotel are? It looks amazing!
Hey thanks again for the info. I am looking to spend about $200 a night (for 2 people) at the most. Definitely an all inclusive, beachfront and close to Playa del Carmen (like viva azteca) if it's adults only even better, but it doesn't have to be. I'm going late Sept. What do you think? and how do your services work? Is it a travel agency in playa?
Hi Liliane,
Thank you for the info. I haven't booked yet, I'm thinking that the Imperial Maya is great, but I'm afraid of feeling a bit trapped, although this is a relaxing trip I'm sure that once there I'm gonna want to go explore the nearby attractions. I was also looking at the Viva Wyndham Azteca, since it is closer to town. I am looking for an all inclusive, close to town and on the beach. What are your thoughts? Do you recommend anything else?
PS-
Also, I just got a response for a condo @ Mamitas Village- if you have any feeling towards that property as well - It has ocean views from bedrooms & private rooftop terrace
Thanks again
Hi Liliane,
Sorry, didnt get your message til today-
Yes, still studying, Thanks for the heads up on Porto Playa!
Any info on Illusion Hotel? It seems-pleasant, I know it's not beach front, but pretty close with ocean views, also, any info on the Shangri-La?
Hope your well, have a great weekend,
and Thanks Again!

next time you came i can take you to a nice dive, BYE
We are looking for a sit down style dinner, no buffet. From reviews I have read and pictures, La Cueva Del Chango is probably the best example I can give you. We like its cool jungle atmosphere and unique architecture along with the rave reviews on the food. Plus it just has that WOW factor.
Is the coco maya kind of quite? I guess I should have been more specific about our younger crowd. Most of us are either in engineering or medical fields so our personalities are very quite. We are not huge dancers/party people. We like to sit around have a couple drinks, joke, laugh, maybe a couple slow dances. I was leaning towards the fusion because we could watch the fireshow at the end of the night.
HI LILLIAN,
THANKS FOR THE WELCOME,
YES, I'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT SOME OF YOUR FAVORITES.........
FOR BIG, I LIKED THE ROYAL OR GRAN PORTO -
FOR SMALL I LIKED PLAYA PALMS, EL TAJ, SHANGRI-LA CARIBE, CONDO MAYA VILLA OR PORTO PLAYA....
ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED...
THANKS!
Mayan wedding ceremony on a some what private beach is the idea (beach formal attire). Reception is dinner only, looking for some where very cool and unique. Not your typical boring sit down dinner, trying to keep it up $35 per person. Then a cool spot for the younger people to go after dinner for a after party. Some where on the beach would be awesome.
