I have never been to Playa but my father bought a bunch of weeks at The Royal. This trip is my graduation from college/sales pitch from him. :) I am sure I will love it as he went down there for the first time a few years ago and was hooked. I am going with my girlfriend and we are staying at The Royal and we are both so excited! I am 25 and she is 20. How many times have you been?
I plan to travel tp PDC in mid June for the first time. Do you know anything about the Aventure Mexicanna? I have a free stay there so thought I would try it for my first trip to PDC. Is there a good beach with services, cabanas, etc that's close by?

I am going to sandos caracol in February 2010! I am really excited, but I've seen some pictures that make me a little nervous about commiting to my reservation...
There were some with lots of seaweed on the water, and some people are saying that the ocean at the hotel is not deep enough to actually swim in...what do you think about that resort/hotel?
PLUS - it is for my friend's wedding, and we are doing an all-inclusive package...but since the "h1n1" thing...do you think there would be a change in the pricing?

yes... i can help u on that info... there´s a gay bar on 5th ave. "playa 69"... and its just horrible, love mexican kitsch but this is jus disgusting. But the cool thing about playa is that u do not need to go there to find a "pink space". everything is gay in playa. "Basico" roof and "Deseo" lounge are perfect! sooooo perfect!
The Shangri-la beach area is super gay, (beachshore from 38st to maybe 2 kilometers north) .
"Blu cacao" beach club is such a nice place to enjoy, friendly enviroment, nice music, great drinks, for couples or singles "haunting"...hehehehehe, actually is located on punta esmeralda where the gay-nude-beach (10 minutes north driving from downtown) used to be a few years ago, before the new constructions. also Kool beach club pool parties (especially when HED KANDI performs); "La azotea" in hotel El punto is another good spot... and a some random parties from "Lo cortés no quita lo caliente".
Ive been working on Pink Travel in an independent way for the last 3 years...and is a shame ( a stupid shame) that nobody is taking care of that tourist info and specific target, cause is HUGE!

No, I am kind of scared, she will be 6 months. I am taking my 2 boys, they will be 5 and 3 years old. I hope they will be able to enjoy themselves. I really want my 5 year old to swim with the dolphins but i am not sure what age you have to be. I have to do some research.
We're staying until 6/7/09. Do you know about buses from the airport? I know taxis are really expensive. We're arriving at the airport about 11:30am on Wednesday, 6/3/09 and departing approx. 1:30pm.

Thanks for the reply. What company do you recommend for the transportation to/from the airport? Is the price a flat rate or are tips expected?
We've reserved a studio (not beachfront) at Playa Palms. Is there a room(s) you know of that is quiet, but still has a view of the ocean?
