It is hard to believe it has been a year! I saw your note about going down this week...is it really hot now? I don't know when I will get back...trying to talk a couple of friends into going down with me next time...
Hello Kris, so nice to hear from you. We actually will be visiting Playa next Tuesday for about a week or so. Everything here is the same, hope you are doing well!!!!!
I am travelling alone. Should I rent a car? I can fly into Caucun or Cozumel. Seems Cozumel is much closer. I like to just read on the beach and eat great food and, of course, enjoy a marguerita or three!! I would love to go to a beach club or a place that has full services and cabanas! I like comfort mosre than anything else. I do like to swim in the ocean and maybe participte in some waterspots
Never been to PBC so totally unfamiliar with the area. Is Is it already to hot to go there in mid June? Just need a quickie get away and this seems like a good place!
Kris; We've already booked our 2010 trip for Playa. We are bringing our family for 1 of the three weeks we are staying, should be fun. We are renting the condo's c4 and c5 at the villa's mayamar in playacar. Do you know of these? Also we may need babysitting service for a night, do you know of any reliable people who provide this service, and what will the cost be? They say the condo's are a 5 minute walk to 5th ave, is this true? Thanks, William & Sandy Kuhl

We've stayed at different resorts, Royale, Mandarine, Caracol, (my spelling is out right now) but have always wanted to stay downtown, I might just try that this time. My husband and I like to stay at Adult Resorts, (nothing against children, I have 2 grandchildren) just when we vacation, we want to relax.

We will be all inclusive-I just hope nothing else stops us travelling. I forgot to say that I am from Wales which is a very rainy place to live.I have never been "all inclusive" before as usually we prefer to explore and try the local places and meet new people who are local and not other tourists(nothing against them but we can meet back at home!) My son and I first went on a holiday on our own when he was 5 years old and we have been doing this every year since. We find that we meet more people this way. Wherabouts are you from? Angela.
Hi Kris, how nice this is! It is the forst time I have joined anything like this and it is a really great idea. I hope to be travelling at the beginning of July with my son. As he is 16 this is likely to be the last holiday he will want to come on with his mum. We have travelled over Europe qnd visited cousins in Canada last year. We get on well together but the first few days of a holiday are allways a bit tense until we meet new friends and join up for activites that we both like doing. Any recommendations for a rather sporty teenager? Although he says he just wants to lie on the beach and relax! WE are staying at Playacar actual;ly but believe it is a short stroll to Playa del Carmen? WE are used to walking a lot. Also I am learning Spanish and hope to get lots of practice.
