Tim Need Place to Stay Non-tourist

Me wife, me and my granddaughter will be in Playa this summer, end of July first of August for 2-3 weeks. My wife and I are both scuba dives and my granddaughter, who will be 12, will be getting her certificate to dive. I would like a homestay with a local family, private bath would be nice, I want my granddaughter to see and experience another culture first hand, I would also consider a furnished apartment, non tourist, cheap within walking distance of the beach.
