- Hi Richard... here are a couple more names for you - Deseo bar (very cool actualy) on 5th ave between calle 10 and 12 there is a large white stair case that takes you to the bar / hotel.
Bar del Basico lo demas - also very gay friendly, on Calle 10 between ave 5 and 10.
Enjoy your trip.. i want to hear all about it when you get back (-:

- Hi Richard, Here is one name I got so far - Club 69 - right on Ave 5 and Calle 6. You shoud have no trouble finding it. As far as Playa being open to Gay couples... its VERY receptive so you should have no trouble walking with your partner hand in hand...
I wish you could buy me a drink but i dont think i will be traveling before August, so have one for me instead and enjoy !!! Hey.. btw - where are you staying in Cancun?

- Hi Richard, My name is Liliane, have been traveling to Playa since 1995 and also this is my favorite place. Amazing to see it change so much over the years, it's a bitter sweet feeling as it is growing and changing yet still has the special feeling that only Playa has.
Playa in general is a very Gay Friendly town. There are several small boutique hotels that are very gay friendly and a bunch of bars that are right on 5th Ave (or Avenida Quinta as its called localy). The bars have the rainbow flag so its easy to identify. I dont have the specific names unfortunatly but I know they are there. I will try to get you some names though through my local friends (-:
Hope you will enjoy the socialclub sites, it's been lots of fun "meeting" all the new people who travel to Playa.
