Let me start out by saying Playa Palms is a great location, I have stayed there and LOVED IT! The rooms are huge as they are studios and VERY large balconies. Small pool no swimup bar there :(

Thanks for the info. The Royal does have a wonderful Junior Suite Beachfront Walkout, talk about non obstucted view! Take a look at the Gran Porto Real, they too have Oceanfront Junior Suites and Walk outs. I will keep my eyes open to let you know what I can find for you.

Welcome to the Social Club!
We started this site to get people who have never been there before excited about Playa and what it has to offer. Also for people who have been there and LOVED it, as you have, to post stories, comments, suggestions, pictures and videos to share.
I will be happy to make any suggestions to help you get to know Playa better. Are you looking at all inclusive resorts or small boutique hotels in town?

- Hubby and I are planning our first ever vacation (I mean "real" vacation, just by ourselves) and we will be going to Playa del Carmen. Traveling in either Feb or April and just reading as much as I can now so we know where to go and what to do once we get there!
