I've been to Mexico, from Cancun to Tulum, 5 times and I keep coming back for more. I am coming again at the end of October 2008 and this time I have my three friends coming with me. One of them is actually celebrating her 50th birthday during this time. I always have something else to see and do in Mexico. We are staying in Playa del Carmen this time with an overnight in Cozumel. We have rented a car and plan to explore the area. In the United States I am a Realtor/Appraiser with Re/Max.
Hey Lynn;
Just wanted to say"hi" and let you know it's been over a year already since the Social Club was started, WOW talk about time flying by. As of today we are now up to 339 members and adding everyday. Drop a note anytime the Playa gang is always around.
Where in Easthampton do you live? My best friend's uncle's live on Fairfield Ave, I LOVE it up there :)

We are staying at the Cozumel Resort and Spa. It is an all-inclusive and since it is my friends birthday we will be able to eat and drink as much as we want although we are not the drink til you drop kind. I am hoping the resort has a good snorkle spot or that there is one nearby. I was at a nice snorkle spot once before and I cannot remember the name. It had a little hut on the beach for drinks or snacks and it was not crowded at all. It seemed to be towards the far end of the island as I recall.
HI Lynn,
Renting a car is a great idea. There is so much more to see when you're driving around. I found that to be the very best way to embrace the culture.
Where are you staying in Cozumel?
I spent the day there and the shopping is great. If you need any ideas of where to stay let me know, I found a bunch of great places. The Barracuda and Casa Mexicana Cozumel were two of my favorites.
Ooooops..... Paamul (-: South of Playa on 307. North of Akumal, south of Xcaret (-:...... you can go any day, luch recommended. I love Sundays because there are lots of local families that come out. Bring a book, towel and enjoy
I have been running back and forth since 1992. For awhile we owned the internet ISP in Playa and I would go once a month.... WOW how much fun was that.
You will enjoy the freedom of a car. Lots to do and see. A couple of secert little favorites are Pamuul, great on SUnday's, beautiful little bay, great resturant, very 'local' feeling.
HI Lynn, Welcome to the Playa Del Carmen Social Club!!! I just returned myself and you are so right! What a great place to go. If I can help you with anything please let me now! Enjoy your trip! Jody
