Great time to be in Playa, I am down also that weekend. Presidents day is tough to get an upgade. Save the $20, it is not likely to produce the same result as Vegas.
The weekend you arrive most everything is full, so upgrades are going to be thin. Have your agents submit a request via their booking system stating you are her VIP or the likes. When you arrive indciated that your agents had requested a courtsy upgarde because you travel with her frenquely. Then let the cards fall where they may.
Which Sandos are you staying at. If your are in Playacar, the entertainment options are much diffenent that if you are down the coast. Either way you will want to make it into town for a couple nights.... lots of fun, food, danciong and shopping (-;

Hey Russ,
We are coming down to PDC Feb 14-21. I can't wait it so cold here in Minnesota -20 with the windchill. I have a question for you. Whenever we go to Las Vegas and we are checking in we slip a $20.00 to the check in staff and ask for and upgraded room and we always ended up getting an awesome room. Any idea if this works at the Hotels down there. We are staying at the Sandos Caracol. We just booked a standard room and would really like to upgrade. Any idea what the Hotel is like. I read good and bad reviews. This will be are 1st time to PDC we are looking for some fun. My Husband Mike and I are 40ish and the other couple Brad & Sherry are mid 30's.

Here is a Playa welcome to the lady in the north country.... welcome to the Playa Social Club. Maybe it was the 8 years I lived in Wisconsin that has 'moved' me to build a site like this or MAYBE Playa is just a fun place. Either way we hope you enjoy your visit.
I see you you are going south.... you will love it. When and where are you going? If you have questions about the area ask away, there are lots of us that know the area well.
