- My wife and I have purchased a condo at AZUL FIVES Resort and have been coming down to Playa every five or six weeks for the past 2-1/2 years to watch the resort as it has been built. Although the resort has yet to open, we do stay in our condo when we come down. We come to town during the day and evening for shopping, hanging out with the locals and dining in our favorite restaurants. We love the guys at Coco Maya Beach Club. Great place to go for drinks anytime of day or evening. Great DJ's and great music. Good bartendars and waiters. La Palette is one of our favorite restaurants. Chicago Don Jose is another place that we always go to when we are in town.

Thanks Russ, This helps but I heard the Mexican gov't would be allowing card games in 2010 and casinos were being built now in Playa del Carmen which would have card games. I deal cards so if you do here anymore about this I would REALLY appreciat...

WELCOME to the Social Club!
We started this site to get people who have never been there before excited about Playa and people who have been there and LOVED it, as you have, to post stories, comments, suggestions, pictures and videos to share.
I was not aware the Azul Fives had finished the condos, I'll have to head up that way next time I am in Playa. I just LOVE that beach.
