Yes, thake the bus. I was down at christmas and it was $9.00 us from the airport playa. than if you want a taxi from there just walk 50ft outside. But, I found everything is pretty close from there. And the best it safe as heck.

How long was the trip from the airport to Playa Del Carmen bus station? Do they make frequent stops or does it go directly to Playa?
I'm arriving next week and am concerned about transportation from the Cancun airport. We're considering taking the bus to Playa Del Carmen but not sure. Can anyone tell me which would be better, shuttle or bus? We are staying at Plaza Marina Condo...

Zip lining is a lot of fun..... good for the heart (-: A very good friend owns probhably the best eco tour company in the Riviera Maya. Here is a link to a zip line video and 2 other jungle experiences
Kris here in the forum can help you organize the day so your are treated as a group. If you have 7 or 8 folks we can probably make the trip semi private of private if you would like (-: Gavin who is one of the partners in the company has been a friend since 1998. We own the ISP in Playa for many years and help them in the early days get published (-:

Welcome to the social club. We have been putting this site together for folks just like you that want to see Playa the way we have seen it (-: You are going to love your trip.
I sure hope that we get you to upload some of your pictures when you get back..... when are you going and where are you staying (-: Lots of the folks here in the forum have been or lived in Playa so if you have questions or needs before you leave, just give a post and we will find you an answer.
btw - beautiful part of the worl you live in, we spent a lot of time in Murphy and Ashville looking at property, I hope in a few years to relocate to western NC.......

Transportation From Cancun Airport
I'm arriving next week and am concerned about transportation from the Cancun airport. We're considering taking the bus to Playa Del Carmen but not sure. Can anyone tell me which would be better, shuttle or bus? We are staying at Plaza Marina Condos and I know the bus station is pretty close. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful.
