Hey Dawn;
Just wanted to say"hi" and let you know it's been over a year already since the Social Club was started, WOW talk about time flying by. As of today we are now up to 339 members and adding everyday. Drop a note anytime the Playa gang is always around.
have you and Marc been down lately?
Kris
If I am just renting for day a day or 2 in Playa I use Buster Rents 10th Ave and Calle 10. Local company, reasonable compared to the majors in Playa. If I am renting for the week, I use Enterprise at the airport but we get a commerical weekly rate from them.
When are you down again. My wife and I are running down for a few days in early Dec.
Not sure of my schedule right now, but as it firms up I will keep you posted. Was down toward you guys yesterday, I was in West Palm Beach (-: Glad I could be helpful, we all really like the area (-:
We plan on staying for about 7 nights and plan on coming back on an ongoing basis until we get everything set up as far as purchasing a place to live and so forth.
I was wondering how safe it is to put your money in the Mexican banks and how difficult it is to do that as an American? Any information you have about this will be very helpfull. Also, as the time gets closer we will need a very good Mexican Attorney if you could recommend any. This global economy stuff is pretty depressing. How is it effecting Mexico's Real Estate market and economy as a whole?
Hi Dawn,
Money - money coming into the country is not a problem, they like it when we bring dollars down (-: You will see when your down there are any number of global banks in Playa. I would recommend using a bank like HSBC and let them handle the account in coordination with an HSBC account here in the states. You can do a lot of the orgainzation with the branh here before you go down.
THe real estate market in Playa is effected by what happens here and in Europe. The econmeys are all very much tied to each others, you are going to find a buyers market if you have cash. You will also find developers that will be willing to hold paper to move units. You are going at a good time.

Hi Dawn;
Are you looking for simple apartment or a condo/studio? We do offer a couple of different types depending on the budgets. I was jsut there 2 weeks ago and stayed in the Porto Playa http://www.playadelcarmen.com/nhotels/PortoPlaya/ and it was heaven.

HI Dawn;
Welcome to the PDC Social Club. Good luck with your venture becoming locals, I am jealous. I have only been there a couple of time in the last year but I LOVE IT! The food, the shopping, and of course the people.
Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to the social club. I have been a 'commuting' regular since 1995 and my first trip was in 1992. Never bought a house, but have owned a business there for many years (-:
We built this web site for folks to enjoy and share ideas and experinces so you should be right at home. Playa is a great place and if we can help you in anyway as a sounding board or to find answers.... just ask
