Thanks Russ, This helps but I heard the Mexican gov't would be allowing card games in 2010 and casinos were being built now in Playa del Carmen which would have card games. I deal cards so if you do here anymore about this I would REALLY appreciat...

Welcome to the Social Club! We started this site to get people who have never been there before excited about Playa and people who have been there and LOVED it as you have to post stories, comments, suggestions, pictures and videos to share.
Russ asked me to touch base with you and help you with suggestions and prices for a February vacation. Did you have a chance to look over the ones he had suggested? Let me know your thoughts.

Carnival in Playa is in Febuary and usually falls around Presidents Day weekend. I am down in Playa for a long weekend starting Friday so we can get you exact dates.
Do you want to be in town? Corto Maltes Condo's is very nice, 3 bedroom and in the beach, Casa Playa Maya, secluded satellite tv, great for a family (main house 3 bedrooms) or really off the beaten path The House at Retrio Maya.
Take a look and give us some feed back. I have asked Kris to touch base with you and she can get you costs, etc.
Thanks for your interest. btw - love the area where you live. We almost bought a second home there before the market went to the dogs.
Actually can probably give you a couple ideas for houses or if you want intown condos are another good option. How many people/bedrooms? Feb. is not so far off and if you are thinking Presidents Day weekend when school breaks are happening, we should get organized now (-:
