the 12th street is the one you have to visit and my favorite place is "La Santanera".
If you like loud music and shooters Senor Frogs is the place, cant beat the location right on the beach, if you want something else try the nightclubs next door, the bartenders let my wife play music and they were super friendly, I just dont know ...

- I am going to Playa for the first time from June 13 - 19, 2009! I can't wait!
I am a fun 25-year-old guy, born and raised in Dallas, Texas; a true, proud Texan! (insert George W. Bush lashings here) I am a huge fan of the 4 major sports leagues (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA) and my favorite teams are the Rangers and Red Sox, Stars, Cowboys and Mavericks, respectively! I enjoy working because, let's face it, who doesn't like money? I work for Stream Energy full-time and I also have a few part-time gigs. One of them is as a Promotions Assistant for the Dallas Stars. I get paid to watch my favorite hockey team. :) The other PT job is as a server at Texas Land and Cattle steakhouse. YUM. I like going out and having fun, going to movies, watching sports and meeting new people! I love the city of Dallas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area as it is a wonderful area with so much to do! Thanks for nice words about the site, I started it as a 'kick' and it got legs, I like the idea of a travel calendar, will look at it. We agt lots of folks looking of travel partners, people to meet on their travels, etc. We are setting up an area for travel partner posting, but the calendar would be a great twist.
Thanks fo the idea and enjoy your trip. I left Playa yesterday and headed to Soliman Bay. Borrowing a friends house while he is in Italy.... I love it here, sea is beautiful

- Its REALLY Worth it.... I have done this in Costa Rica and liked it a lot. Kris (who you talked with before) h ad done this trip in Playa and LOVED IT.. you should connect with her about it. The cost is very reasonable as it is a long day. Let me or Kris know if you would like us to arrange it for ya, you will really like it. Its an unforgettable experience. (-:

- Yes the do offer some free samples. The ferry pier is located in the south end of town and that is where you can catch to ferry to Cozumel.
The south end of town is more touristy, Carlos & Charlie's , Senor Frog's are down that way as well.

- WOW what a way to have you first expierence in Playa ,starting at the top, The ROYAL in Playa is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! My favorite all inclusive in Playa. Wait till the beach butler comes up and asks if you would like to read a book, what SPF factore sun tan lotion you would like, or if you would like a cold water or fruit.......Their 24hr VIP lounge is pretty cool, darts, pool, cards.....drinks, snacks, drinks, snacks.......did I mention drinks? LOL
Your going to have a blast!
Are you into tequila? If so a must see is the tequila shops up on 5th Ave.....you can taste your way down to the ferry pier :)

Welcome to the Playa Social Club where you can meet people who have been to Playa or just about to travel or nuts like us who go there every month and never have enough because it is such a great spot !!! But thats what we created these Social Clubs for.
So feel free to get involved, ask questions if you have any and bring back pictures when you come back. Right now town is nice and quiet so you will have lots of room to spread out on the beach.

Does anyone know if casinos are opening next year in Playa Del Carmen? Someone told me that they are. I want to move to the area and this is the line of work I am in therefore would love know if this is true. Thanks, Becly
