Hi, Me and my wife stayed at the Viva Wyndham Azteca and it was great, the food was good, the shows at night were great and the restaurants were good, the location is in Playacar just outside of Playa Del Carmen I think it cost $5.00 to catch a cab to town, this hotel is an all inclusive and is not cheap but it is worth trying at least once, we felt really safe there if that is important to you.
JUST GOT BACK AND ALREADY BOOKED AGAIN AT THE SHANGRI-LA CARIBE. RIGHT ON THE BEACH, COOL ROOMS ,WALK TO TOWN. IT IS A QUIET PLACE, IF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE, BUT WE LIKED IT. WHEN WE WANTED TO PARTY IT WAS A QUICK RIDE TO 5TH AVE OR THE BEACH BARS AND WHEN WE WANTED TO SLEEP WE WEREN'T KEPT UP ALL NIGHT WITH THE MUSIC. HOPE THIS HELPS.
