All we are hearing in Texas is how dangerous it is in Mexico now. We read where some bodies we discovered just outside of Cancun. We have always gone to Playa 2-3 times a year. But right now I am unsure. What is actually happening in Paradise?
We always stay at one of the Rius in Playa. We will probably return in a couple of months. Now we are in St. Losis working and its 45 and misting rain. Im missing now the Texas weather, and sure missing Playa.
I actullay live in NJ but have for the last 20 years travelled back and forth to Playa as we have owned a business there and still do a lot of busiess thre. I am down about 6 or 8 times a year now about 3 to 4 months a year. Just perfect (-:
Let me know if I can help you as you plan your trip.... it is a great place to vacation.
The media was very good last year of making Mexico dangerous. Think back and look at the timing, it was just before spring break and lasted until the end of spring break.... Where was all that money meant to be during the melt down, USA and Canada of course. Here is an interesting website that Expats in Mexico have. www.thetruthabout mexico.com
We're from Houston and that is B.S. We have been down here several times this year and never experienced anything but the friendly people and great atmosphere that is Playa. Roger www.rfiehn.com plaitinumrealtyservices.net

Becky,
Sned me a private message with your email. The Director General at Winpot in Playa is a friend. He is from San Diego, about 35.... nice guy. Will be glad to send an intro email for you.
Thanks Russ, This helps but I heard the Mexican gov't would be allowing card games in 2010 and casinos were being built now in Playa del Carmen which would have card games. I deal cards so if you do here anymore about this I would REALLY appreciat...
