Playa weather forecasting... "roll-of-the-dice" this time of year??? Or just plain sunny!
Greetings my new found playa loving friends... While there's very little that can keep me from getting excited about my trip, I do have 1 question....
Is it hard for weather services to forcast weather in PDC? Since I've known I've been going, I can't seem to help myself from checking the forcast everyday... And depending on which one you check... ie: accuweather, weatherundeground or weather.com... every forecast seems to be different, and seems to change from raining for 3 days, to beautiful & bountiful sun for 5, then back to cloudy in just one 24hr period.... I don't get it. (?)
Then, when I check the playa sky webcam (the one aimed at the playa sky)... it (almost always) looks sunny...
Just curious, even though it will be sunny (at leaset in my head) the entire time.... :)

At least for the time I was there...
It was the greatest weather I had ever expierienced. NIce steady breeze of the water with mild temps and PLENTY of SUNshine. So... regarding the original post.... Even though the report may say cloudy, Any clouds I saw did not stick around for long.. and same goes for the rain... ( it apparently rained once, though I never saw it).
THe morale of the story... ANY and ALL days in Playa Del Carmen are GOOD days!!!!!

online searching for webcams will come up with some in the area... sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. you can try these

Winpot is about 280 gaming machines in addition to the sports book & bingo. THere is a seperate gaming room for smokers, main floor is non-smoking.

There is currently 1 casino in Playa, Winpot. Casino, small sports book, bingo. Mexicans are not allowed to use 'cards' so all games are played electronicly but you do play against others and the house as if they were dealing. Texas Hold'em is pop...

Does anyone know if casinos are opening next year in Playa Del Carmen? Someone told me that they are. I want to move to the area and this is the line of work I am in therefore would love know if this is true. Thanks, Becly
