Dia de los muertos in Playa?
Hey guys, thank you for all of the welcoming messages, I plan to return to Playa for the first time in years and am really excited, My girlfriend and I will be there for Halloween and Day of the Dead. My girl is a little concerned that the festival may not be very big there in Playa, do you have any recomendation for the festival? Also we have just purchased air and no hotel, do you think we should book a hotel or just wing it once we get there? Thank You for your time and opinions.

Welcome! I'm a newbie to this online community, but like you I'll be returning to Playa as well for Day of the Dead. The eight of us planning to go are wondering as well about the festivities involved.
But pertaining to your question about a hotel, from what I've seen while booking our condo you really might think seriously about booking accommodation soon and not leaving it until when you show up. You've been there so you know how many places to stay there are, but my friends and I did a lot of research so far and have found that things are already filling up for that time around town.

Great to hear you are headed back down to Playa. I can recommend a couple of great hotels in Playa, just let me know :) Xcaret is where the festivities take place from what I have read, it's pretty big.
